While his presence at the NRJ Awards ceremony was particularly scrutinized this Friday evening, Slimane could not contain his emotion when he came to collect his statuette for Male Artist of the Year. “I wanted to thank you from the bottom of my heart,” he told the audience. Before continuing: “This one has a particular taste…”

Slimane is the subject of a complaintfiled Monday October 28 in Saint-Étienne for sexual harassment. Prosecutor David Charmatz confirmed having received a complaint from Maître Anne-Sophie Charrieras, the lawyer for the alleged victim. At this time, no investigation has yet been opened. The magistrate is particularly waiting for evidence, in the form of recordings, that the lawyer says she has.

On the stage of the NRJ Music Awards, the singer spoke to his daughter. “Daughter, when you grow up, I really hope you will be proud of your daddy. I love you,” he declared, visibly very moved, “And mom and dad, I love you very, very much.”

Earlier in the evening, he had performed his song My love, which allowed him to rise to fourth place in Eurovision 2024.

Several Olympic medalists from the recent Games were present to present certain prizes. This edition was notably marked by live performances by artists such as Clara Luciani, Kendji Girac, Louane and Pierre Garnier.
