‘I have known the coach’ – CAF POTY favourite Lookman expresses gratitude playing for Eguavoen

Ademola Lookman has revealed that it has been an amazing experience to play for interim Super Eagles coach Augustine Eguavoen.

Eguavoen served as the Super Eagles’ manager from 2005–2007, 2010 and 2022 before returning for a fourth stint as a caretaker.

He took over as manager after Bruno Labbadia withdrew from contract negotiations with the Nigeria Federation, and since then, the team’s performance has improved.

The Super Eagles team have gone on to win three games and draw one since he was named the head coach.

Super Eagles forward Ademola Lookman is the favourite to win the 2024 CAF Player of the Year, after an exceptional season for club and country.
