Targeted by a complaint for sexual harassment, the singer arrived in Cannes for the 26th edition of the NRJ Music Awards where he is due to perform this Friday, November 1.
Doubt had been hovering for several days as to Slimane's appearance at the NRJ Music Awards. But, the singer, targeted since Tuesday, October 29 by a complaint for sexual harassment, will be present during the ceremony organized at the Palais des Festivals in Cannes this Friday, October 1, BFMTV has learned.
Especially since Slimane's name still appeared on Wednesday October 30 in the list of “artists present for this 26th edition” transmitted via a press release by TF1.
Complaint filed by a former tour technician
The artist is also nominated in two categories, that of “French-speaking song of the year”, with My lovethe song with which he represented France at Eurovision last May, and that of the “French-speaking male artist”.
Slimane is accused of sexual harassment by a former technician working on the Cupidon Tour. The events allegedly took place last December on the sidelines of a Slimane concert at the Zénith in Saint-Étienne. The artist and his team have not yet publicly reacted to these accusations.
Besides Slimane, other artists will also be present at the NRJ Music Awards 2024, like Clara Luciani, David Guetta, Santa, Pierre Garnier, but also the group Indochine.
