At only 13 years old, Israel died at his home on Monday October 28 evening. According to information from France Bleu Berry, an investigation was opened by the Bourges public prosecutor's office to find out the causes of his death while his parents had called emergency services twice.
Monday evening, parents were concerned about Israel's “worrying state of health”, according to a press release from the Jacques Cœur hospital in Bourges. They then called the emergency services for the first time, who referred them to SOS Médecins for a consultation. Less than an hour later, facing “the rapid deterioration of the child’s state of health”they call the hospital center so that the child can be taken care of.
When emergency services arrived, the teenager, in cardio-respiratory arrest, could not be resuscitated. An autopsy must be carried out to determine the causes of his death. In its press release, the hospital indicated that it was “at the disposal of the justice system in order to communicate to it all the elements allowing it to understand the causes and circumstances of this death”.
The Bourges Football Club, of which Israel was a member, announced his “deep sadness” and his “mourning”. “Israel will forever remain in our hearts and in the history of our club. We will pay tribute to it during our next match,” it is written on the club’s Facebook page.
