Sabah Aib, 18, was elected Miss -Pas-de- this Saturday evening at the Arena Stade Couvert in Liévin. She will represent her region in the Miss 2025 competition next December.

At only 18 years old, Sabah Aib is the new face of Nord-Pas-de-Calais. The young woman was elected Miss Nord-Pas-de-Calais 2024, this Saturday, October 19 at the Arena Stade Couvert in Liévin, to the applause of more than 5,300 spectators.

She succeeds Eve Gilles, Miss France 2024, who came specially to crown her as tradition dictates. “This year, I think that Nord-Pas-de-Calais still has every chance. She’s the future Miss Universe, that’s for sure,” she says, reports France 3 Hauts-de-France. Other former Misses from the region, such as Maeva Coucke (Miss France 2018) and Camille Cerf (Miss France 2015), were present on the jury.

“I feel very happy and proud to represent my region,” confides Sabah Aib in the night after receiving her crown, to La Voix du Nord. “It was an unforgettable moment, a mixture of many emotions,” she continues.

“I had prejudices about the Misses”

Sabah Aib comes from Villeneuve-d’Ascq. She is a second year law student at the Faculty of . It was those close to her who pushed her to run for her first Miss election.

However, the world of Misses did not attract her at first. “Unlike other women, I can’t say that it was a childhood dream. Before starting I had prejudices about the Misses and I realized that it was a very open world, with young women like me, with whom I really became friends,” she explains to the local channel.

So if she is elected, she wants to highlight her commitments. “I want to advocate benevolence above all, kindness and humor too! I am a very empathetic person, who hates injustice. I am studying family law, so obviously it is something that appeals to me. “Harassment is also something I would like to talk to Miss France about,” she confided before her election, according to the Northern daily.

The young woman will represent her region during the election of Miss France 2025, on December 14 at the Arena Futuroscope in . Sabah Aib could join the long line of Miss France made in the North. “I hope not to disappoint them and bring back the crown next December,” she concludes to France 3.
