51-year-old Vural Çelik, who played the popular character Kubilay in ‘European Side’, passed away yesterday evening. The artist’s cause of death was not disclosed. Vural Çelik, who appeared in the series “Seksenler” as well as “Avrupa Yakası” for many years, had previously had a heart attack. Sharing a post on his social media account a few days ago, Çelik announced that his health was not good and said: “As far as coming to these hospitals, if I were to shoot a TV series, I would have a Range Rover, a yacht, a flat, everything.”

‘Lost too soon’

Vural Çelik’s death also left his artist friends in mourning. His co-star from European Side, Ata Demirer, said in his post on his social media account:A very early farewell, very sad. I wish patience to his family. May God have mercy on him. “Rest in peace, brother Vural,” he said. He also worked with him from the European Side. In her post on Instagram, Gülse Birsel said, “We lost our Kubilay very early. “We are very sorry,” he said.

Vural Çelik started acting with an advertisement he saw in the newspaper in 1989. Because he grew up without a father, he started working at a very young age, which is why he dropped out of high school. The announcement of Levent Kırca Theater would change his life. He received training first here and then at the Nejat Uygur Theatre. Çelik, born on March 18, 1973, then moved to the Yasemin Yalçın Theatre, where he worked as Selahattin Taşdöğen’s assistant. Çelik also showed himself in the cinema with the 1998 movie ‘Everything Will Be Great’, starring Cem Yılmaz and Mazhar Alanson.
