Vincent Capo-Canellas, UDI senator and former mayor of Le Bourget for 16 years, criticized the holding of this event. “How could we authorize this clandestine swimming when the swimming pool was closed for everyone?”, he declared, recalling that it is imperative to have a lifeguard, even in events private.

According to comments collected by Le Parisien, the secretary of Femmes Relais du Bourget, Karima Miloudi, assures that “the agent who came to open the swimming pool recorded the data. He said it was good for swimming. We didn’t force entry at all.”
She added that the association had reserved a slot “for a specific action, in favor of women who have been affected or who are still fighting against breast cancer, and who have swimsuits adapted to prostheses”.
