In the space of 24 hours three accidents took place in the sector these Monday 14 and Tuesday 15 October 2024
The first was held Monday evening October 14 on CD6 at the level of Peynier between the village and the Rousset area shortly before MC Donald’s around 10 p.m. with the intervention of numerous firefighters. No further information on this drama.
This Tuesday 15, shortly after 4:30 p.m., in the VAR this time a road accident took place in the town of Brignolesat rue Frédéric Mistral. A car hit a tree with two people on board: a woman and a man were seriously injured. Road traffic was then very difficult in the area.
Despite the action of the rescue system with two ambulances, a fire engine, two command vehicles, the emergency response, a helicopter or 12 firefighters, one of the seriously injured people died. The second seriously injured person was transported to a hospital center using the SAMU 83 helicopter. If the circumstances have yet to be determined, excessive speed could be the cause of the accident according to witnesses, reports VAR MATIN.
Finally a few minutes later, another accident took place at RIANS this time around 5:15 p.m., at departmental road 3 a motorist lost control of his vehicle for an undetermined reason in the direction of Pourrières. Again this one involved only one vehicle. There was an ambulance, an extrication and marking vehicle, a nursing vehicle, a command vehicle, i.e. 10 firefighters on site as well as the Gendarmerie & the Road Service specifies the SDIS83.
