A little more committed than kneeling.

In a press release published on Twitter on Wednesday, the Palestine Solidarity Association asked that the players of the French team not appear on Thursday during the Nations League match against Israel. “Tomorrow the French team will play against Israel in the League of Nations. Let us ask the League of Nations and the French team not to participate in the sportwashing of a state of apartheid and genocide. Your opponent has blood on their hands #Gazagenocide,” writes the association with a visual blocking the announcement of the match by TF1.

The AFPS then mentions several players from the French team, asking them “don’t act as if nothing happened” and relays a petition calling on FIFA to vote to suspend the Israeli federation. A procedure already rejected several times by the body, despite sanctions taken against Russia and Belarus following the invasion of Ukraine.

The Blues will face Israel behind closed doors in Budapest tomorrow.
