Bigster: the new high-end Dacia SUV sold for only 25,000 euros impresses everyone

Dacia, the Romanian brand that has captured the hearts of European motorists, is preparing to strike a major blow on the family SUV market with its all-new Bigster. By integrating design elements and technologies already proven on its flagship models like the Sandero or the Duster, the Bigster displays a clear ambition: to establish itself as a key player in a segment where competition is fierce. Priced from 25,000 euros, it promises a move upmarket without denying the brand’s fundamental values, thus offering an attractive option for families looking for quality and functionality.

An imposing silhouette

With its 4.57 meters long, the Bigster boldly positions itself against giants like the Peugeot 3008 and the Hyundai Tucson. Thanks to the CMF-B platform, already adopted by the Clio 5 and the Arkana, Dacia has wisely stretched the wheelbase by 4 cm and adjusted the rear overhang. Although the width remains identical to that of the Duster (1.81 m), the Bigster offers a transformed interior space, ready to comfortably accommodate all families.

The height, increased by 5 cm, with an additional 3.5 cm reserved for glazing, offers dazzling brightness inside. Dacia brilliantly succeeds in merging a spacious atmosphere and modern design. The longer and completely reworked rear doors add a touch of freshness, while preserving the robust features inherited from the Duster, including an attractive tailgate.

A distinctive design

From an aesthetic point of view, the Bigster does not go unnoticed. Its silhouette evokes the bold concept car unveiled in 2021, while the grille, highlighted by gloss black and a herringbone pattern, gives the vehicle an assertive character. The more massive shield and the cleverly integrated fog lights accentuate its dynamic appearance. The optional 19-inch wheels add a touch of refinement, while the panoramic sunroof, standard on the Extreme version, enriches the passenger experience.

Inside, the Bigster draws on the essence of the Duster, while providing an enhanced user experience. The dashboard, although made of hard plastics, is enhanced by a new 10-inch screen for the digital instrumentation, available on high finishes. The central screen, also 10 inches, ensures compatibility with Android Auto and Apple Carplay, making access to modern technology smoother than ever.
