Private nurseries: the office of the National Assembly takes legal action over the Aurore Bergé case, accused of false testimony
Aurore Bergé is accused by NFP deputies of “false testimony” for having challenged before the parliamentary commission of inquiry on the crèche model, any personal link with the FFEC via its general delegate. The former Minister of Families is said to have deliberately lied, which constitutes an offense.

The office of the National Assembly, meeting this Wednesday morning at 10 a.m., by 10 votes to 9, validated the request for referral to justice against Aurore Bergé for “false testimony”. The former Minister of Solidarity and Families is accused of having challenged on April 30 before the parliamentary commission of inquiry, on the “economic model of crèches”, any personal link with the delegate of the FFEC, Elsa Hervy. “I know what I risk if I expose the slightest lie before this commission of inquiry. I have never, ever in my life met Elsa Hervy in a personal and intimate setting,” she then said. Except that Victor Castanet’s book says the opposite.

According to Les Ogres, the two young women would have agreed on “elements of language” to stifle the media coverage of the affair on the dysfunctions of private daycare centers following the publication of two books. Victor Castanet has also made public documents (emails and WhatsApp messages) which seem to highlight the links between the boss of the FFEC and the former Minister of Solidarity and Families. In an exchange of emails from August 1, 2023 between Aurore Bergé and her chief of staff at the ministry, the former minister speaks of Elsa Hervy as“a friend” : “She will be very helpful to me”. According to the journalist, the former minister tried to prevent the creation of the commission of inquiry, but without success.
Following Victor Castanet’s revelations, Aurore Bergé announced she was filing a complaint for defamation, pointing to exchanges that were “truncated, sentences that do not appear there, words that have been changed” on Franceinfo.

The President of the National Assembly Yaël Braun-Pivet recalled that this “ transmission decision does not constitute a court decision. Under no circumstances must the office rule on the creation of an offense. This is a simple transmission which is made to the public prosecutor who will be free to pursue or not and investigate these facts. »

Aurore Bergé immediately reacted on X by attacking the New Popular Front
