Between Laurent Gerra and Eddy Mitchell, it’s a story of friendship that dates back to the 90s. So much so that we are not surprised to find them together in the casting of this TV film, already broadcast on RTBF in the spring, in in which France’s most famous impersonator plays the owner of the only café in a small village, whose life is turned upside down when his daughter is murdered and rumor names him as the culprit.
Faced with him, how will his best friend, Jeff (Eddy Mitchell), village priest, react? Besides the fact that seeing friend Eddy in a cureton is quite surprising (although, when we know that his real name is Claude… Monk, it was ultimately predestined), the TV film makes it possible to bring together the two actors on the same project.
Their relationship developed after Gerra began imitating Mitchell in her sketches. The two men share a common taste for American culture and cinema, as well as a similar sense of humor. Eddy Mitchell has always expressed his respect for Gerra’s sketches and intelligence. A beautiful bond that has only strengthened over the years.
