If Atlético Madrid and its coach, Diego Simeone, have called for exemplary sanctions against supporters responsible for such actions, the coach would also like the authorities to look into Courtois’ behavior. “We don’t want these people in the stands. Action must be taken, but those who caused this situation must also be punished.”he declared after the meeting.
Atlético, for its part, has already banned a supporter for life and plans to ban objects that could hide a face in the stands.
