The tragedy occurred this Saturday in Carcassonne, in the Aude department, as reported Toulouse News. According to initial information collected by our colleagues, a violent fight broke out between several people.
This brawl would have taken place in rue Charles-Fourier, not far from boulevard Paul-Sabatier, east of Carcassonne. It was around 3:30 p.m. that a 25-year-old young man was found seriously injured, before dying from his injuries shortly after.
The alleged perpetrators on the run and actively sought
Called to the scene, the police found serious injuries to the victim’s legs. Even though the firefighters intervened quickly to take care of the young man, his death was finally declared by the SAMU doctor. According to the first testimonies collected, the alleged perpetrators of this attack were 4 and attempted to throw the victim into the Aude, without succeeding in doing so.
Still according to testimonies, these individuals were armed and allegedly dealt numerous blows to the victim’s head before fleeing towards the Carcassonne station. The alleged perpetrators are therefore actively sought by the police and an autopsy will soon be carried out on the victim’s body, in order to find out more about the circumstances of his death.
