Olympique de Marseille fell for the first time this season against RC Strasbourg (1-0). After an unsuccessful first period, OM trailed by one goal at the break thanks to Diego Moreira’s goal. Despite incessant attacks from Mason Greenwood, the Phocaeans did not manage to get back into the game.
This is the first defeat of the season for Marseille after a moribund match, especially in attack.

In second, Brassier tried much more with varying degrees of success. This is not his preferred position.
Ismaël Koné had a lot of difficulty making a difference in Marseille’s restarts in the first period. Only one breakthrough involved the Canadian international. It’s the only time he got into good conditions. We have not spotted any recoveries from him.
Geoffrey Kondogbia tried several times to play forward without finding a relay between the lines. The Central African international wanted to stop the counterattacks very high with some successes. His discounts at the heart of the game were often relevant.
