Marielle Alary, mayor of Vignon-en-Quercy, and her municipal council, at the start of the year, presented their wishes to the associations and received the elders for a snack in the multipurpose room.
We met her.
Marielle Alary, are associations important for a municipality?
These are the associations that make up the life of the municipality. We have a large and active associative network with 20 associations. The municipality supports them as much as it can, with subsidies (€24,880 in total), free use of the multipurpose room for two to three activities per year, as well as with the presence and help of elected officials and municipal agents.
What are your plans for 2025?
The period of budgetary uncertainty risks having repercussions on our investments. We fear reductions in funding for our future projects, and we hope not to have to make any trade-offs. Nevertheless, we remain positive and we move forward.
The multidisciplinary health space, located in the former SNCF station, is open. It is complete with: two doctors, two nurses, two physiotherapists, a sophrologist, a dietitian and, soon, the social worker from the departmental council. The Rionet social center is also located in this place which we have decided to definitively call “La Gare”.
-We are going to buy a small piece of land nearby to make a car park in order to relieve congestion at the station. We also applied for a grant from the State for the development of the urban space on Avenue du Dr Monmont, its security and the development of the public spaces on this street. There will also be the energy renovation of the elementary school, work on which will begin this summer.
Any plans for Cazillac?
Yes, substantial projects. We will start by setting up the outdoor space and the playground, if possible this year. We have started the study for the rehabilitation of the premises of the delegated town hall, which will become a large room for the municipal council and weddings. The apartments above will also be renovated. We also plan to rehabilitate the premises of the old town hall, currently a polling station, as well as the accommodation located above.
The town was inherited from Paul Leymarie, a resident of Cazillac. The amount of the legacy, approximately €150,000, will be used entirely for the development of Cazillac.
Anything new for the entire commune of Vignon-en-Quercy?
Businesses are moving. In the spring, the bakery will reopen its doors. With Cauvaldor, we obtained the opening of France Services: a public service intended to help residents with their administrative procedures. This place will also accommodate the offices of Caf, taxes, etc., and will be located behind the Post Office.
