Danielle Collins had to lose against Madison Keys in the 3rd round of the Australian Open this Saturday. Keys will play Rybakina in the next round.
After her controversial victory against the Australian Aiava, Danielle Collins saw her career come to an end in the 3rd round of the Australian Open. The American lost against her compatriot Madison Keys this Saturday at the Rod Laver Arena with a score of 6-4 6-4. Semi-finalist in 2015 and 2022 in Melbourne, Keys, seeded number 19, is comfortable on Australian hard courts and proved it again today against Collins who was whistled upon entering the center court, no doubt because of his less than discreet celebration after his victory in his last match. Keys will play Elena Rybakina, the number 6 seed who beat the Ukrainian Yastremska, in the round of 16 on Monday morning.
