ATP – Moselle Open > Benjamin Bonzi: “I wanted to get into him, it caused mistakes and a few breaches but I'm happy to have played him that way. I finished the year with a title, my first, that's is incredible”

Winner of the Open, Benjamin Bonzi provided a real service to the organizers who had a difficult week. For him it is a great first after reaching two finals in 2023 in and Pune.

Obviously, Benjamin found it hard to believe it, especially since he was quite far from this reality a few months ago. Happy, he confided in our colleagues at the Team.

« I won seven matches, I didn't arrive here with that basic ambition even though I had played very well in recent weeks and had found the I had last year and the state on the ground in which I was. I wanted to have fun, to have good matches. In the end I managed to hold on very well all week, to gain strength in tennis. I am very happy to have played this final in this way. I had very big intentions right away, I didn't want to let him play. I wanted to get into him, it caused mistakes and a few gaps but I'm happy to have played it that way. I end the year with a title, my first, it’s incredible”
