The 16^e edition of the Women’s Open 50 is fast approaching (October 14-20, 2024). The first list of participants published last week was refined this Thursday October 3.

If Océane Dodin, member of the World Top 100finally withdrew, we will find pretty names from women’s tennis French on the courts of the Louise-Michel complex ofqueurdreville (delegated municipality of Cherbourg-en-Cotentin, Manche).

Two former winners

Ex-15^e world, Aravane Rezaï is indeed registered. The 37-year-old will be the weekend attraction of qualifications.

Two former winners will be present, Harmony Tan (2018) and Amandine Hesse (2013), as well as three former finalistsAudrey Albie (2017), Irene Burillo Escorihuela (2022) and Fermanvillaise Alice Robbe (2023), who should logically benefit from a wild-card since her current ranking forces her to go through the qualifications this year.

We also note the participation of the Slovak nugget Renata Jamrichova (17 years old), world number 1 among juniors at the start of the season, and winner this season of the‘The Australian Open and of Wimbledon juniors.
