Based in Budapest, the firm KAMManufaktur last year launched a restomod based on a model of Porsche unknown to the general public: the 912. This “little” 911 entry-level model was satisfied with an air-cooled flat 4-cylinder engine, with a modest power of 90 hp. There is not much left of this car because KAMM has developed a body using many carbon fiber elements. Weighing only 750 kg, the restomod has a 2.0 liter engine developing 185 hp. It is associated with a manual gearbox five-speed. A limited slip differential was also added.
50 kg heavier
KAMM now also produces a version Targa of this Restomod, like the first model of the name, which did not have a rear window. Weighing only 50 kg more than the coupe, this convertible version has the same mechanics and body panels specially made by KAMM. The car that was presented was made on the basis of a 912 Targa from 1968. It retains its removable rear window which almost makes it a convertible when in “open” configuration.

Neat look
In “Tangerine” color, the bodywork contrasts with the bucket seats (whose shell is made of carbon) covered in tobacco leather and tissu « Pasha » with “op art” motifs. The interior has been refined while retaining a vintage appearance. KAMM has also developed a luggage rack resting on the windshield frame and on theroll bar on which can take a surfboard. The price of this achievement is substantial: €395,000. For this price, however, you have the right to configure the car according to your wishes.
