Current coach of Jannik Sinner, Darren Cahill, who also coached Andre Agassi between 2002 and 2006, was at a press conference this Friday after his colt's qualification for the final of the Australian Open.

Asked about the similarities between the world number 1 and the Kid from Las Vegas, the Australian also wanted to differentiate them.

“They play the same way, but they are completely different in other ways. No two players are the same. No two players view a tennis match the same way. We ran into Andre today by chance. He's a big fan of Jannik, he loves the way he plays. He always talks to us about what he sees in Jannik's game, what he could improve. We had a deep conversation at lunch today. I abandoned this conversation because we had to play the semi‐finals tonight, so we will have this conversation later. I think Andre is an incredible champion who has won eight Grand Slams, one gold medal. Jannik is therefore far from that. He is on the right track, as are other players as well. There are similarities but they are also very different people. »
