Resident Evil: a not very popular opus soon to return to PS5 and Xbox Series X and S?

While waiting to discover the next new game in the franchise Resident Evil, Capcom continues to capitalize on previous opuses. The remake of RE4 continues to be a hit and the Japanese studio has also released updates for PS5 and Xbox Series Resident Evil 2, 3 et 7: Biohazard. But it’s another episode that’s getting people talking about it today.

As noted VGC, l’ESRB has listed in its database Resident Evil 6 for Xbox Series X|S. The title was originally released in 2012 on PS3 and Xbox 360, then the following year on PC and finally in 2016 on PS4 and Xbox One. A slightly nanardesque episode with a ton of characters, including Leon S. Kennedy, Chris Redfield et Sherry Birkinwhich still sold more than 9.3 million copies.

As suggested VGC, Capcom Resident Evil 6 could therefore be released in the form of a remasterwith enhanced graphics thanks to the power of the latest home consoles from Sony et Microsoft. It would make little sense to imagine a true remake, the next one on the list would have to be Resident Evil 5 (or RE: Zero et Code Veronicaaccording to a insider).

For now, Capcom has not made anything officialthe rumor should therefore be taken with a pinch of salt. You can buy Resident Evil 4 Remake from €12 on Amazon, Cdiscount, Fnac et Gamesplanet.
