The Pokémon Company announced the arrival of trades in Pokémon TCG Pocket by the end of January. Card exchanges between players will be possible under certain conditions, which will limit the possibilities.
Upon release of Pokémon TCG Pocketplayers asked for one thing: to be able to exchange their cards. This is part of the culture of playing and collecting card games. The Pokémon Company promised this would happen in the coming months and it's finally here. Exchanges will be available in January. Unfortunately, there are certain conditions to the exchanges, as the firm explained in a tweet on January 16.
How do exchanges work in Pokémon TCG Pocket
The exchange of cards will only be available between friends in the game. In other words, a user will need to be added to their friends list (via their friend code) and the friend request will be validated.
Not all cards can be exchanged. The cards must have the same level of rarity; so you won't be able to scam your little cousin with a slightly shiny Bulbasaur for an EX card. Moreover, not all cards can be exchanged: only cards with one to four diamonds (diamond shape in the game) and cards with one star will be exchangeable. Which means that not all EX and immersive cards can be exchanged: there are cards with two or three stars. Same thing for golden cards, the rarest: they cannot be exchanged.
In its message, The Pokémon Company adds that initially, “ certain Genetic Power Booster and Fabulous Island cards can be exchanged ”, without specifying which ones. We imagine that the publisher puts these limitations in place to avoid abuse based on alternative accounts or scams.
-Finally, exchanges will not be unlimited: it will be necessary to consume “ objects », without further details on this subject. Pokémon TCG Pocket should resume the system of Booster Hourglasses and Miracle Hourglasses.
The other announcement of Pokémon TCG Pocket : a new collection of cards in January
If you haven't yet had time to finish the Poussance Genetique and L'Île Fabuleuse collections, too bad. Pokémon TCG Pocket indicated that there will be new Boosters in January. There is no additional information at this time. We expect cards that add new mechanics, to create even more complex and clever decks.
However, we know that the cards from these new Boosters cannot be immediately exchanged. The Pokémon Company probably wants players to open Boosters before completing their collection through exchanges.
If you want to open as many new Boosters as possible when they become available, you can set aside as many Booster Hourglasses as possible. They can be collected by doing daily missions, leveling up, or completing other challenges. Shop Tickets also allow you to purchase them in the in-game store.
