Samsung Galaxy A36 5G: US launch planned with generational charging update

The upcoming Galaxy A56 5G apparently won’t be the only one to get the 45W update from Samsung this year: its little brother, the A36 5G is also set to get the feature, according to the latest reports.

These are based on the discovery of a device referenced in the new safety documentation from TÜV Rheinland https://www.mysmartprice.com/gear/mobiles/mobiles-news/samsung-galaxy-a36-5g-galaxy- a56-5g-multiple-variants-sp-iecee-certification/ which authorizes the A36 to be delivered with a charge of 10V/4.5A (or 45W), compared to 25W for its predecessor (now available for $349.99 on Amazon).

The smartphone in question has the model number SM-A366U, the last character of which suggests that it is intended for sale in the United States.

A device with the same ID has also surfaced on Geekbench in a leak that appears to confirm that the A36 5G will most likely run the Adreno 710-equipped Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 processor as opposed to the Exynos 1580 Exynos 1580 planned for the A56 5G.

Additionally, it appears that the A36 5G will be a 6GB RAM device, while the A56 5G will receive at least 8GB.

It also appears that both devices will serve as a preview of Samsung’s design language for years to come, as they are both shown with camera bumps that more closely resemble those of the high-end Galaxy foldable device. Z Fold6 than that of the vanilla S24 flagship device as usual.
