Cooler Master presents its new V-shaped motors to cool your CPU

Back to the future at Cooler Master which will reintroduce refreshed “V” series coolers into its range. Evoking the V6, V8 and V10 of the past, minus the inefficient Peltier cooling, the new “V-Series” and “V-Lite Series” will be aimed at hardware enthusiasts who don’t take themselves too seriously or absolutely want to give their PC a “motorized” style! It must be said that with their large plastic hood supposed to be reminiscent of the cover that you can find under the hood and on the V-shaped engine block of your sporty, the four models of the “V” series are not the most discreet nor will they leave you indifferent. Here’s roughly what to expect from the range:

  • Patented 3DHP (3D Heat Pipe) technology, with a central heat pipe placed directly on the heat point of the processor
  • 4 models of single tower coolers with 2 120 mm fans
  • Customizable ARGB lighting
  • V10 3DHP with 10 x 6mm copper heat pipes and dual ball bearing fans
  • V8 3DHP with 8 x 6mm copper heat pipes and dual ball bearing fans
  • V10 and V8 are given for a dissipation capacity of 340 W
  • V6 3DHP with 6 6mm copper heat pipes
  • V4 3DHP with 4 8mm copper heat pipes
  • Compatibility with AM4, AM5, LGA1700 and LGA1851 sockets

As with engines with which the number is there to indicate the number of displacement, here you can also easily guess the quantity of heat pipes for each model. The plastic cover will certainly be the most divisive element, which we will either like or not. Moreover, although rather clean, the ventirads appear quite ordinary. The maximum quantity of heat pipes is not really new, Cryorig has already integrated 10 (also 6 mm) in its Monster XX. Of course, this one is still waiting in the trade. It will no less be interesting to pit these two against each other when the time comes, including against the big names of the moment, whether it is the NH-D15 G2 or the Phantom Spirit 120 EVO.

At the same time, Cooler Master is also planning the “V-Lite Series”, with a much more sober and classic design. No engine cover for example, but a simpler, smoother, more discreet upper cover and with reduced RGB accents. The fans also seem different. Only the V4 and V6 models will a priori be offered in this lighter variant. No pricing has been shared by Cooler Master for these two new series. But the manufacturer currently plans to launch everything around March 2025. Well, and if not, where has the V8 3DVC presented at CES 2024 gone?
