Morgan Whittaker’s strike eight minutes from time fired Plymouth Argyle into the Fourth Round of the Emirates FA Cup at the expense of Premier League Brentford.

The Pilgrims announced the arrival of new manager Miron Muslic ahead of the game, and then proceeded to knock out the Bees on their own patch.

Given Argyle’s away form this season, it came against the formbook. This was their first win away from home in all competitions this season.

It was certainly a goal worthy of an upset, with Whittaker cutting in from the right and firing home a left-footed strike for the Championship’s bottom side, who held on to reach the next round.
