On October 12, 2024, the Star Academy returned to the air on TF1. Among the teaching staff of this twelfth season, new additions have appeared, such as the singing teacher, Sofia Morgavi, or the theater teacher, Hugues Hamelynck. The latter, originally from Belgium, took the place of one of his compatriots, Pierre de Brauer, who reacted to this sudden replacement.

But then, what will Hugues Hamelynck do once the Star Academy will it be finished? While the grand finale is set for Saturday January 25, 2025, the 44-year-old man said more about his future with our colleagues at the magazine 7 Days TVon newsstands since Monday January 6, 2025. “I know that RTBF will call me back. We are on good terms. The idea is that I come back (…), but not necessarily to do the same things”he confided. In the meantime, he is expected on the stages of La Nouvelle Seine in Paris from January 19 to perform his only on-stage performance “Un faux air de…”. It remains to be seen whether he will be recalled when the Star Academywhich has officially been signed for a season 13.
