Towards a price increase for the Galaxy S25?

We will finally know everything about Galaxy S25 on January 22, the date of Samsung’s first Unpacked event of the year. To be completely honest, smartphones no longer really hold any secrets given the usual flood of indiscretions and rumors in recent months! On the other hand, the manufacturer can still surprise people in terms of prices. And a leak is hardly encouraging.

A hundred euros more

The Italian reseller Zanetti has in fact temporarily posted product sheets for future smartphones online, without descriptions or technical characteristics, but… with prices. These are a bit surprising. The 128 GB Galaxy S25 was priced at €973, the 256 GB version at €1,036 and the 512 GB version at €1,162.

The Galaxy S25+ was priced at €1,246 (256 GB) and €1,371 (512 GB). Finally, the Galaxy S25 Ultra was €1,571 (256 GB), €1,696 (512 GB) and €1,948 (1 TB). Surprising prices, knowing that Samsung generally prefers that they finish in 49 or 99 (€1,149, for example), psychological effect obliges. This may be a publicity stunt for the reseller, as happens from time to time.

In any case, these prices mainly reflect a future increase. The Galaxy S24 thus costs €799 (128 GB), the S24+ at €1,119 (512 GB), the S24 Ultra at €1,369 (256 GB). Obviously, this is without taking into account the game of promotions and discounts, which Samsung is offering right now – and it is possible to find these devices at even lower prices at resellers.

We must therefore expect a waltz of labels for the future S25 range, with an increase which could be around a hundred additional euros. Samsung will have to justify this increase by bringing serious new features to its smartphones!
