MSI is updating its Vector gaming laptop lineup at this year’s CES, including its 17-inch model. The Vector 17 HX AI brings together the crème de la crème of Intel and Nvidia in a portable package.

The Vector 17 HX AI is equipped with an Intel Core Ultra 9 275HX processor, one of Intel’s most powerful Arrow Lake CPUs. Users can choose between an Nvidia GeForce RTX 5070 Ti (12 GB GDDR7), 5080 (16 GB GDDR7), or 5090 (24 GB GDDR7) graphics card, giving the laptop some serious gaming capabilities. Vector 17 HX AI also has two PCIe Gen5 x4 NVMe drive slots.

Input/output options include two Thunderbolt 5 ports (both with DisplayPort and PD 3.1 support), two USB-A 3.2 Gen 2 ports (10 Gbps), a single HDMI 2.1 port (with 8K/60 Hz or 4K support /120 Hz), an SD card reader, a 2.5 Gbps Ethernet jack, and a 3.5 mm combo audio jack. Wireless connectivity is provided by an Intel Killer BE1750 Wireless Card, which supports WiFi 7 and Bluetooth 5.4.

The screen is a 17-inch QHD+ (2560×1600) IPS panel with a 240Hz refresh rate. It fully covers the DCI-P3 range. The laptop comes with Windows 11 Home or Windows 11 Pro.

The Vector 17 HX AI is quite large, with dimensions of 380x298x28.75 mm (14.96×11.73×1.13 in) and a weight of 3 kg (6.6 lbs). It is equipped with a 4-cell 90 Wh battery, an FHD webcam with infrared and a 24-zone RGB keyboard with a Windows Copilot key.

MSI has not revealed pricing as of press time.
