Samsung took advantage of the CES 2025 show to announce the arrival of two new soundbars on the market in 2025. These are the high-end model HW-Q995F which replaces the excellent HW-Q995D and the new HW-Q710F equipped with a gyroscope that can be installed both vertically and horizontally.
Presented during CES 2025, the Samsung HW-Q995F soundbar will represent the new flagship of the Samsung audio range for 2025. This has exactly the same characteristics as the previous HW-Q995D. However, its design changes slightly with an upper part which has “stripes” along its entire length in place of the grille of the previous year.
It still offers an 11.1.4 channel sound configuration. It is accompanied by the same surround speakers, but its cabinet has changed.
A more compact, but more powerful box
The big difference with the 2024 version is the subwoofer. In fact, it is around 60% more compact, more square. It no longer offers one woofer, but two 8-inch diameter woofers, installed in opposition, on each side of the speaker. Samsung thus announces a power gain going from 200 watts for the model which accompanied the HW-Q995D bar to 300 watts.
Otherwise, the Samsung HW-Q995F soundbar offers HDMI 2.1 ports, allowing the transmission of 4K video signals at 120 Hz, particularly useful for gamers on new generation consoles. The system supports Dolby Atmos and DTS:X formats, providing precise and enveloping sound spatialization.
The soundbar still offers full connectivity with Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.2, and compatibility with various streaming platforms like AirPlay 2, Chromecast, and Spotify Connect. It also supports high-resolution audio formats like ALAC, FLAC and WAV.
Samsung HW-Q710F soundbar as comfortable vertically as horizontally
At the same time, Samsung presented a new soundbar. Called HW-Q710F, it has the particularity of being able to be installed both vertically and horizontally. Thus, it is possible to place it naturally in front of the television, flat or to hang it under it if the latter is itself attached to a wall support.
Equipped with a gyroscope, the speaker automatically switches to address the correct speakers. In this regard, the bar is equipped with three front-facing speakers, two ceiling speakers and two passive radiators. It comes with an associated wireless subwoofer.
The soundbar is compatible with Q-Symphony technology and can therefore work in conjunction with a brand television to use its speakers for more immersive sound. It supports Dolby Atmos and DTS:X formats.
For the moment, Samsung has not yet communicated the prices of the new HW-Q995F and HW-Q710F soundbars, but indicates that they will be available in the spring.
