Consultations on the future of lyrical art in Quebec will be held on Saturday, January 11 at the Trois-Rivières Conservatory of Music.
Organized in collaboration with the Trois-Rivières Opera, this consultation is part of a collective reflection on the future of opera in Quebec which will lead to the holding of the first Estates General of Opera in Quebec.
The objective is to bring together artists, artisans, opera enthusiasts and music lovers from Trois-Rivières, Mauricie and Centre-du-Québec and to involve them in this reflection.
“Can you be an operatic artist and make a living from opera in Quebec? » is one of the questions that participants will be asked to answer during these consultations. Other themes such as the professional integration of opera artists, the dissemination and circulation of works, as well as public financing and the philanthropic development of opera companies will also be addressed.
