At the start of the year 2025 which marks the 150thth anniversary of Ravel’s birth, Pierre Korzilius, the curator of the exhibition Bolero from the Music Museum will be, this Monday January 6 at 8 p.m., the guest of the Journal du Classique.
Currently being held until June 15, at the Music Museum at the Philharmonie de Paris, a fascinating exhibition dedicated to Bolero by Ravel. The Bolero, a work through which so many facets of the Ravelian universe are expressed, whether its references to Spain, its fascination with the industrial world, its links with that of childhood such as its interest in toys mechanics or even magic.
In the company of Pierre Korzilius, we will wander through the different spaces of the exhibition this evening and discover some of the objects, photos, paintings, manuscripts brought together for the occasion, some of which had never before been shown. The opportunity to enter the intimate universe of the composer, certain pieces from the house of Montfort l’Amaury have been reconstructed at the Music Museum.
