Almost a year ago, My Arcade presented a retro game console developed in collaboration with Atari SA. Called Atari Gamestation Go, the device is now the subject of a new presentation video, which allows you to see it more closely. As we revealed previously, it comes with an interesting combination of controls.

While it has the standard set of controls found in other gaming consoles (Legion Go, currently $549 at Amazon), there are some nice additions. For example, the Atari Gamestation Go has a numeric keypad and a trackball. These are probably there for games that require more than the ABXY buttons and analog stick.

Of course, a report on the handheld suggested that only the buttons needed to play a particular game will be lit during play time. However, given that there is a versatile set of controls on the Gamestation Go, it’s more likely that the device will be capable of playing games other than the classic Atari games.

My Arcade has yet to reveal the handheld’s specifications, but the previously released Gamestation Pro has over 200 games built-in. It’s possible that Gamestation Go will offer something similar. The video also shows that the handheld is equipped with a microSD card reader, which should allow users to easily expand their game library.

Besides the microSD card slot, there appears to be a decent selection of ports, including an HDMI, a headphone jack, and two USB-C ports. More details about the gaming handheld are expected to be revealed at the CES 2025 event.
