The Xiaomi G34WQI gaming monitor may have a 34-inch QHD panel, refreshed at 180 Hz and compatible with AMD FreeSync, but it does not have a huge base price. On the brand’s website, you can even find it displayed at 259 euros instead of 299 euros.

Monitors dedicated to gaming and especially designed for competitive gaming must have a high refresh rate, know how to combat screen tearing or even integrate a panel large enough to not miss any detail in the game. The problem is that such screens are often very expensive. But that was without counting on Xiaomi and its aggressive prices. One of its monitors, the G34WQI model, for example, was launched for less than 300 euros, and at the moment, it can even be found for less than 260 euros.

The essential points of the Xiaomi G34WQI

  • An ergonomic screen
  • A 34-inch QHD curved panel
  • A refresh rate of 180 Hz

Launched at 299 euros, the Xiaomi G34WQI gaming PC screen is now priced at 259 euros on the Xiaomi website.

A large adjustable screen

The Xiaomi G34WQI gaming PC screen is visually quite classic, but one of the strong points of its design is obviously its ergonomics: it is thus possible to adjust its height, rotation and inclination. Practical to adapt to each player. Its large 34-inch panel is unsurprisingly another major asset, and its 21:9 format offers a much larger display area than that of traditional 16:9 screens. Be careful though, most games remain stuck in 16:9, which can lead to a loss of visibility. In terms of image quality, we are entitled to QHD (3440 x 1440 pixels), and therefore to very detailed content. The range of colors displayed is quite extensive since the panel covers 95% of the DCI-P3 spectrum.

Note also that the panel is curved, but here benefits from a curvature of only 1500R. It’s not much, all the same: the screen is almost flat. We would have preferred a 1000R curvature, optimal because it offers a really pleasant panoramic sensation and a strong impression of depth in play. In terms of connectivity, it is quite meager, but it remains consistent with the price placement. There are two HDMI 2.0 ports, two DisplayPort 1.4 ports and a jack socket.

Fluidity above all

The Xiaomi G34WQI especially benefits from a refresh rate of 180 Hz, which, if you have a machine capable of supporting it, will give you exemplary fluidity and games without any motion blur. Competitive gaming fans will enjoy it. Add to this a response rate of just 1 ms, which helps avoid blurry images and delays in gaming actions. Also note that the 21:9 format is ideal for single-player games, which cover most of the time this atypical format.

Finally, this Xiaomi screen features AMD FreeSync technology, which helps combat stutters, screen tearing and motion blur. Of course, make sure you have a compatible AMD Radeon graphics card.
