The year is starting and it’s a perfect time to ask yourself what you want in 2025, and above all, what you don’t want anymore.

The time for taking stock is one that gives us an idea of what we want the 365 days ahead of us to look like. Travel, love, beneficial break, change of field of study, change in your self-care routine? Anything can happen there.
There are many questions and we help you determine various in et out for the new year. Overall what we can see is that people are looking for more real connections, less screen time and enjoying life and the simple things.
Obviously, these are suggestions. Everyone’s choices remain valid!
So here are 15 things we leave in 2024 and what we replace them with in 2025
BEAUTY:
1) Out: The complex skincare routine
Makeup remover, cleanser, product 1, product 2, serum 1, serum, 2, layering has had its heyday, but many people try to stick to simpler routines to avoid attacking their already fragile skin.
What can we replace with: We find some products that are suitable for our skin depending on its type and the temperatures and if it works, we stick to it! Trying a few products can be nice, but not for the benefit of the health of your skin (and your wallet!). Good cleanser, serum, moisturizer and sunscreen and you’re done.
2) Out: Intricate and ornate manicures
Flashy jewelry and XXL nails in Harajuku style? It’s rather difficult to control on a daily basis. 3D designs can be impressive, but less practical when wearing gloves.
What can be replaced with: Short nails are experiencing real growth. We coat them in a chic or neutral color, but we keep everything well put together and elegant.
3) Out: Aggressive teeth whitening
The myth of teeth being too yellow compared to the “tissue test” leads to trying products that, although they whiten teeth, weaken them and make them sensitive.
What can be replaced with: Products approved by dentists and dental hygiene of brushing your teeth 3 times a day, flossing and using mouthwash!
4) Out: Pronounced contouring
After being popularized by Kim Kardashian in 2012, contouring was put aside for a while. It reappeared with a vengeance in 2024, but at what cost?
What can be replaced with: Natural effect makeup. Luminous skin, soft shades adapted to your skin, makeup “ no makeup makeup » has everything you need for a fresh look that’s easy to adapt to everyday life.
5) Out: Matte lips
They were never far away, matte lips. However, they have a replacement which gives the impression of a vibrating mouth.
What can be replaced with: Lacquered lips. Glosses provide a luminous, hydrated and shiny finish.
MODE:
6) Out: Minimalist jewelry
Some will not bow to these farewells with their minimalist pieces that they are able to wear in all circumstances, but the trend is a little tarnished.
What can be replaced with: Charms. A bit like charms of all kinds on handbags, flashy jewelry has its place this year to enhance a look.
7) Out: The long denim skirt
It had a special place in the wardrobes of 2023 and 2024. It also retains its poise in 2025, but is no longer the star of your feminine looks.
What can be replaced with: Long flowing skirts. Pleated, satin, full of movement, the skirts are more sophisticated than ever and adapt to all silhouettes, in midi or maxi mode.
8) Out: Leopard print
According to several sources across the fashion world, leopard is already leaving its place. We don’t totally agree, since it’s a neutral now, but we understand the desire to find other interesting prints.
What can be replaced by: The tile. Classic and elegant, it will regain its nobility in the year that begins.
9) Out: Adidas Samba
The shoe of choice for fashionistas still has a bright future ahead of it, but is entering a very tight race with its 2025 replacement.
What can be replaced with: The New Balance 550. Strangely, they have a je ne sais quoi that makes us look nostalgically at the Nike Air Force One, but with a more modern and playful touch, very easy to adapt to all our looks!
10) Le look HYPER oversized
We like to bundle up, let ourselves float in a few clothes that leave the silhouette a mystery (hello, Billie Eilish!), but in 2025, we fall into a more romantic and fitted frame.
What can we replace with: Clothes in our size. We highlight our silhouette, we give it back its true value and we assert ourselves.

WELL-BEING :
11) Out: A poor sleep routine
Sleep 3 hours before going to class or before working eight? Let’s be kinder to our bodies!
What can be replaced by: A good sleep routine. As with your skin, your sleep needs care to be beneficial. If you establish a sleep routine and stick to it, your eyes will close the moment your head hits the pillow.
12) Lack of physical activity
It gets dark quickly, it’s cold, what a comfort it is to have a blanket at home! These moments are important, but we take them less for granted when we find balance by moving.
What can we replace with: We move for our physical and mental well-being. A short thirty-minute walk or a session at the gym can make a difference in morale.
13) Unnecessary spending
A new product, an expensive coffee, an outing with friends, an expense on the web… We know, everything has a price, but what?
What can we replace with: We budget! Once the savings are programmed, you will be able to do what you want with your money.
14) Hyper high screen time
This resolution is one that many have mentioned in recent years and it is still difficult to stick to it since we have all the information we want at our fingertips.
What can be replaced with: Schedule screen-free times in your schedule. To play a sport, do a craft activity, art, cooking, plan times without screens and it will be easier to stick to them.
15) Excessive self-criticism
The hardest words are often the ones we grieve over. The internal discourse must change.
What can be replaced with: Gratitude and self-compassion. Speak to yourself as you would speak to a friend who needs it through gentler self-talk and/or in a journal, for example.
Happy New Year 2025!
