The RTX 5080, for its part, is not left out, but is located a notch below, with around 10,752 CUDA cores “only”, which represents an increase of 10.5% compared to its predecessor. The RTX 5080 will also have half the memory of the RTX 5090, i.e. 16 GB, also based on the GDDR7 specification, but on a 256-bit bus allowing a memory bandwidth of 960 GB/s memory bandwidth of 960 GB/s . The RTX 5080 is expected to have a TBP of around 400 watts, which is 80 watts more than its predecessor.

RTX 5070, RTX 5060 Ti et RTX 5060 : Machines grand public

Coming to the more mainstream and relatively affordable cards, first we have the RTX 5070 Ti and the RTX 5060 Ti the RTX 5070 Ti which is expected to launch at the same time as its more powerful sisters. This graphics card will use a reduced version of the GB203 chip from the RTX 5080, called GB203-300, with around 8,960 CUDA cores (+16.7%), 16 GB of GDDR7 VRAM on a 256-bit memory bus, as well as ‘a TBP of 300 watts. Its non-Ti sibling, meanwhile, will have 6,144 CUDA cores (+6.1%) paired with 12GB of GDDR7 VRAM on a slower 192-bit bus, as well as a 250-watt TBP.

The RTX 5060 Ti is expected to have 16GB of GDDR7 VRAM on a slower 128-bit bus, which could make it a better buy than the RTX 5070 for memory-intensive titles that will benefit from the extra 4GB of memory. The vanilla RTX 5060, on the other hand, will have to make do with 8 GB of GDDR7 memory, also on a 128-bit bus. For those who want to future-proof their system, the RTX 5060 Ti seems like a much better option.

RTX 50 Series Laptop GPU: Portable Powerhouses

When it comes to RTX 50 GPUs for laptops, there aren’t nearly as many rumors as there are for their desktop counterparts. That said, we do have some insight into RTX 50 GPUs for laptops, thanks to a recent product listing leak. According to this information, the RTX 5090 Laptop will only have 16 GB of VRAM, half the capacity of its desktop counterpart. The RTX 5080 Laptop, oddly enough, will also have 16GB of memory, while other laptop GPUs will only have 8GB of GDDR7 memory.
