Realme recently took the wraps off its new 14 Pro+ and 14 Pro smartphones at an event in Copenhagen. On the program, a major innovation in the design of smartphones with color changing technology sensitive to cold, a world first.
Developed in collaboration with the Valeur Designers studio, the “Unique Pearl Design” offers a unique visual experience: the pearly white color changes to bright blue when the temperature drops below 16 degrees Celsius. This innovation stands out from previous solutions which reacted to sunlight. Each device will be unique thanks to a complex manufacturing process involving more than 30 fiber fusion steps.
The Realme 14 Pro+ is also distinguished by its circular photo module integrating a triple sensor and a “MagicGlow” flash system optimized for nighttime portraits. The standard Pro model will make do with a dual sensor. Special feature of the Pro+, it will be the only one to benefit from a periscope and a screen with four curved edges.

What should we expect from the Realme 14 Pro technical sheet?
Revealed specs include an impressive 93.8% screen-to-body ratio with bezels of just 1.6mm for the Pro+. The smartphone will be IP68 and IP69 certified, guaranteeing increased resistance to water and shock. Under the hood, we find the new Snapdragon 7s Gen 3 processoraccompanied by the Realme UI 6.0 interface.
Chase Xu, vice president and marketing director of Realme, announces that this series “ raises the aesthetic and functional standards of Realme smartphones “. The Valeur Designers studio said it was “delighted to collaborate with such an innovative and young brand”.
It is important to note that the thermochromic effect has a limited lifespan, estimated at around 12 months in normal use, mainly due to UV exposure. Users can prolong this effect by avoiding direct sunlight or using a protective cover.
The Realme 14 Pro series is expected to debut in early 2025, with a likely launch at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona in late February. Pricing and full availability will be announced at a later date. Other smartphones are also expected, including the Xiaomi 15 Ultra.
