The Ray-Ban Meta pair of connected glasses has become the best-selling product in 60% of Ray-Ban stores across the globe. An impressive success for the two companies associated exceptionally to design this device full of technology.
Apple, which is still reportedly working on its Apple Glass smart glasses, surely takes a dim view of this. Especially since Meta and Ray-Ban intend to continue improving their product. The Ray-Ban Meta welcomes several new innovative features.
Ray-Ban Meta welcomes real-time translation, live AI and Shazam
Three new features are available now for members of the Ray-Ban Meta Early Access program. Live AI allows your glasses to see what is happening around you and answer your questions on elements of your environment, such as the recent Visual Intelligence.
« You can ask questions without saying “Hey Meta,” refer to topics you covered earlier in the session, and interrupt at any time to ask follow-up questions or change the subject. Eventually, live AI will give you helpful suggestions at the right time, before you even ask the question “, says Meta.
Live Translation is a feature that Meta has been promising for a while. Thanks to it, the Ray-Ban Meta transforms into a real-time translator. If your interlocutor is English-speaking, connected glasses can transcribe your speech in English, Spanish, French or Italian. An excellent way to break down the language barrier for those who do not master the language of Shakespeare.
Plus, you no longer necessarily need to take out your phone and open Shazam when you hear an unknown song that you like. “ Now your glasses can do the work for you. When you hear a great song in the wild, all you have to do is say “Hey Meta, what is this song?”, and voila! Hands-free music recognition ».
Please note, Meta specifies that Shazam is only available on Ray-Ban Meta in the United States and Canada at the moment. One thing is certain: Meta and Ray-Ban are making a big impact with these new functions. The American company promises to return in 2025 with other new products and even a few surprises for its smart glasses.
