Aperia Technologies has introduced new features to its Halo Connect i3 system, improving tire management for medium and heavy-duty truck fleets. The system now includes a suite of tire tread diagnostics and the ability to remotely adjust tire pressure set points to improve safety, fleet uptime and efficiency .
The tread diagnostics suite provides proactive tire maintenance recommendations based on analysis of tread depth data, according to a press release. The system can accept data from manual measurements or dynamic reader readers, to predict tire wear and recommend maintenance when traction points are reached. Aperia also offers a 3D laser tread scanner that detects issues such as uneven or excessive tire wear, unsuitable tires and alignment issues.
Fleet managers can now remotely adjust tire pressure set points through the Halo Connect i3 system. This allows adjustments to be made based on factors such as seasonal temperature changes or the weight of the truck’s load, thereby optimizing tire performance in different conditions. This feature also simplifies adjustments after changing tires, ensuring that newly installed tires are set to the correct pressure.
The tread diagnostics suite is offered through the Halo Tech app, which allows technicians to access real-time tire health data through mobile devices or web browsers .
