The 4th round of the Senegal Cup, reserved for National 1 teams, ended yesterday, Monday, with a meeting which did not take place: A5 Kolda against Toglou Diass. According to the daily Record, this round was marked by several surprises, notably the elimination of the title holder, Mbour Petite Côte, as well as that of Yeggo, leader of Pool B of National 1.
The main event of this round, a derby between Joan of Arc and Yeggo, turned to the advantage of the JA. She signed her first victory of the season after a penalty shootout (0-0, tab 4-2).
There are then the victories of the Port, ASFA and US Rail respectively ahead of Avenir de Dakar (2-1), Africa Foot (2-2, tab 3-1) and Gazelle de Kédougou (1-0 ).
Coton Sport lost (1-0) to Assane Seck Université Club (ASUC), the promoted Guelwaars, Builders FC, Jolof Olympique Club (JOC), Dekkeundo and AF Darou Salam distinguished themselves well respectively in front of Model de Mbao (0). -0, tab 4-2), Keur Madior (2-0), Haayo Agnams (0-0, tab 4-2), USC St-Louis (1-1, tab 5-4) and Mbour Petite Côte (1-0). The latter who held the title is eliminated like all the teams from the city of Mbour who were competing in this 4th round.
Toglou Diass did not travel to face A5 Kolda. In Cayor, the eponymous team gave in to Damels, more realistic during the penalty shootout (0-0, tab 7-6).
