France 24 has just redesigned its site and application. Objective: to highlight live content and offer more adapted navigation for users. Two of the architects of this digital overhaul of the international French public service channel tell the story behind the scenes and the ambition.
Anne de Kinkelindeputy director of digital environments at France Médias Monde, and Stéphane Bernsteindeputy director of France 24 in charge of digital, are the guests of The media workshop.
For around thirty minutes, they present the new face of the site and the application (Android et iOS) of France 24: a redesigned home page, a large place given to live broadcasts (liveblog and video), an “Essential” block, etc. It is a question of editorialization, brand awareness, advertising or still artificial intelligence (AI).
At the end of the broadcast, the 2025 edition of Challenge App Africa is announced.
