While Xbox Cloud Gaming recently welcomed some great new features, including the possibility of playing certain games that you own directly from the cloud, the image quality of the service still remains quite poor compared to its competitors. Fortunately, things are improving today, and it's not thanks to Microsoft.
Xbox Cloud Gaming Quality Improves with Better xCloud
While Microsoft has been slow to make visual improvements for its cloud gaming service for a long time, the community has decided to resolve the problem on its own.
This is mainly thanks to @redphx, author of Better xCloud, the application allowing you to enjoy Xbox Cloud Gaming in better conditions than via the official solution. Today we are discovering the release of version 6.0 of Better xCloud, with many new features and modifications, including the possibility of increasing the video bitrate.
Better xCloud 6.0 is finally here!
Lots of new features and changes, including an option to play Xbox Cloud Gaming at a higher bandwidth (>15 Mbps).
This increased bandwidth allows you to benefit from better streaming quality in 1080p, even though the official service is limited to 720p on most devices.
Below you will find a video highlighting the various new features of version 6.0. Remember that Better xCloud is available both as a browser extension, but also via a dedicated Android mobile application. To take advantage of it, click on the link below to install the version that suits you.
