So that’s a surprise, it’s a surprise! While Esport in Gironde has suffered a major blow with the disappearance of the Girondins de section, a new club has just been born… and it has taken up residence in Rauzan.

“I wanted to work with the town hall where I grew up”

Leading this project, Pierre, known as Anakin, is in the world of video game competitions. The one who spent a large part of his childhood in this village of Gironde is a solid reference on Call Of Duty. » I was playing with a player who was really of an excellent level. I wanted to do something around him and it took on enormous proportions. And that's where I am. »

For the past year and a half, Anakin has set up a team called Anakin Corp. The latter recently took the name Rauzan Esport. “ I wanted to work with the town hall where I grew up. » The project quickly won over the municipality, which decided to support it. It must be said that Anakin Corp has achieved significant success since its beginnings, including participation in the Call Of Duty European Championships.

Rauzan Esport will take off for the United States in early April

Within Rauzan Esport, two sections will coexist: the one dedicated to Call Of Duty and another on Rocket League, founded for the occasion. The first has a very promising future ahead of it. In addition to participating in tournaments in throughout the year, the Call Of Duty section will fly to the United States twice to compete in two competitions in Boston at the beginning of April and Miami in May 2025. A real source of pride for Pierre. “We bring a different look to the city,” he notes. This project was possible thanks to the loyal sponsors of the former team Anakin Corp.

Finally, Pierre would like to popularize Esports in his city. “We are currently working on projects, why not go to Rauzan college to introduce our discipline. » And who knows, do birth of vocations in this discipline, whose popularity continues to grow.
