vivo introduced new S20 series smartphone models in China. The vivo S20 and S20 Pro models differ in their design, camera, chip and battery.
Here’s what we know
Both devices feature 6.67-inch AMOLED displays with a 120Hz refresh rate and support in-display optical fingerprint scanners.
The main differences between the models are in the processors and cameras: The S20 is equipped with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 chipset, while the S20 Pro is equipped with a MediaTek Dimensity 9300+ chipset which supports faster Wi-Fi 7 and 5.5G. The S20 has a 50MP main camera with optical image stabilization, while the S20 Pro has a 50MP camera with periscope zoom.
The S20 also has a larger 6500mAh battery with 80W charging, while the S20 Pro has a 5500mAh battery with faster 90W charging. These models run OriginOS 5, based on Android 15.
The vivo S20 starts at 2,299 yuan ($317) and the vivo S20 Pro starts at 3,399 yuan ($468). Both smartphones are available for pre-order and deliveries will begin on December 12.
