Thirty superfans helped Pokémon break the record for the longest unboxing video livestream, celebrating the release of the Scarlet and Violet Trading Card Game expansion – Surging Sparks.
Over the course of a 24-hour marathon, content creators opened more than 1,500 booster packs and other licensed Pokémon products. Hundreds of products were unboxed and it is estimated that more than 20,000 cards were revealed during the broadcast.
The creators Miss Jirachi, Newtiteuf, Pinku Kiwi, Yekais and Guillaume and Kim representing France, unboxed for 6 hours and got incredible cards.
Pikachu even made an appearance to celebrate the 24-hour milestone with dedicated streamers and joined them in accepting the official Guinness World Records certificate.
The tens of thousands of cards revealed during the livestream will be carefully sorted into binders to create incredible collections of Trading Card Game cards that will be donated to charities ahead of the holiday season, including Barnardo’s, KidsOut, Fondazione Banco Alimentare Onlus, Tafel Deutschland and Fundacion Tomillo.

In the extension Scarlet and Violet – Surging Sparks of the Pokémon TCG, players can continue to discover magnificent Stellar Crystal Pokémon-ex, including Pikachu-ex with its powerful Topaz Lightning attack. DLC fans The Buried Treasure of Zone Zero, Volume 2: The Indigo Discwill be able to collect the cards from this expansion and fight with them on the theme of the Terra-Dôme (an artificial paradise first introduced in the DLC for video games Pokémon Scarlet et Pokémon Purple), and will be able to discover the gigantic Alolan Noadkoko as a Pokémon-ex Stellar Teracryst as well as other powerful Dragon-type Pokémon.
