Apple is very forward-thinking about taking care of loved ones, especially the elderly and/or those with health concerns. But its Apple Watch could be competing with Samsung’s Galaxy Watch. Indeed, the latter is reportedly working on a health sharing feature for the family.
Whether it’s to check a loved one’s heart rate or to be notified in the event that he/she falls, Apple is there. For a long time, the brand has offered health monitoring sharing on its Apple Watch, especially for families. But the other brand that takes care of the interface and features of its smartwatches is Samsung. It is reportedly looking into a health data sharing function.
Samsung Health app reportedly starting to share health data
Once is not customary, it is Android Authority who made a discovery in an application. This time, it is Samsung Health that is concerned, namely Samsung’s health tracking application, particularly useful with the Galaxy Watch. The teams ofAndroid Authority have indeed spotted code suggesting that the app would start sharing data with the family, via the Galaxy Watch. They have even managed to activate some displays, enough to see what this would look like.

The idea would be to be able to monitor the health of a family member (a child, an elderly person) at any time via the application. There would of course be a process to approve the sharing of this sensitive information. Users ” monitored » may disable sharing, or change the statistics tracked at any time. Sharing and data may also be automatically deleted after a period of inactivity.
Data sharing for which Galaxy Watch?
What we wonder then is which Samsung watches will have the feature available on. It seems obvious that health data sharing will be possible with the Galaxy Watch 7 and Galaxy Watch Ultra. These two models should be presented this July 10 at Galaxy Unpacked.

But according to Android Authoritythere is no indication that the option will be limited to these two models only. We can then imagine that it will be possible for the Galaxy Watch 6 and Galaxy Watch 6 Classic at least. The feature could also be officially presented and launched at this Samsung conference, which is to take place in France.
