A comical situation has arisen regarding the beta 2 of iOS 18. While the latter was deployed on June 25, 2024 by Apple, it presents a bug that users mistook for a feature. After the feature that users mistook for a bug, now here is the opposite situation!

Apple Music in Landscape mode

The bug did not fail to make users react, since it is due to be able to put the Apple Music app in landscape modelike on Spotify.

Beta testers went so far as to praise the supposed new feature in iOS 18, unaware that it was actually a bug. Landscape mode in Apple Music could soon be coming to iOS, judging by user reactions.

Such a feature would provide a better experience, including allowing more space when displaying the lyrics of a song:

Is this really a bug?

Some believe that this is not a real bug, but rather a feature planned for later that was released by mistake. European Union reportedly considering requiring all mobile apps to support landscape mode by 2025in order to improve their accessibility.

Beyond Apple Music’s supposed “landscape bug,” the app also hides a new feature that few people are talking about. It’s “Smart Crossfade,” which improves transitions between two songs in Apple Music. This is an improvement to iOS 17’s transition feature, which provides a fade-in effect at the end of a song.

The goal is to provide a seamless transition without interruption. In iOS 18, Apple offers to mix the end of one piece and the beginning of the other, when possiblefor an even smoother transition!
