Cloud gaming plays an increasingly important role in the video game industry and Microsoft has made it one of its spearheads for years within its Xbox Game Pass. Basically, the idea was called Project xCloud to convert more simply into Xbox Cloud Gaming, a service which allows you to play streaming games using just an internet connection, without needing to download anything. …or any console. Thus, from a phone, a tablet, an internet browser tab or an application nestled on the OS of a smart TV, you can play hundreds of Game Pass titles, provided you subscribe to the Ultimate plan . This is also what now allows Xbox to no longer be officially a console as was the case historically, but rather a general platform to be found on many media.
Very recently, Microsoft has just pushed the barriers of its cloud formula by allowing Game Pass Ultimate subscribers to play the games they have in their library. A major step forward, but limited for the moment since “only” fifty software programs are compatible at the time of writing, a figure which should increase over time.
If you have purchased one of these games, know that you can now play them directly from the Xbox Game Pass application in cloud gaming with an Xbox controller, a DualSense or even a DualShock 4.

As luck would have it, it was on the same day that Sony announced the possibility of playing PS5 games in cloud gaming from its famous PlayStation Portal, provided you are a subscriber to PlayStation Plus Premium. A gesture which brings considerable interest to the PS5 accessory and which, above all, demonstrates a major change in policy within Sony, for which Microsoft's multi-support strategy could perhaps become an example one day, which knows.
