The flagship Vivo X200 series was launched in China in October. A recent leak suggests that Vivo could launch two new X200 models next year. We now have key details on a potential X200 series phone, provided by a reputable tipster.
Tipster Digital Chat Station on Weibo suggests that there will be an “S” model in the X200 series. The company launched the Vivo X100s and X100s Pro as mid-cycle model refreshes. So it is likely that the company is also considering the X200s model.
The tipster claims that the alleged Vivo X200s will feature a flat OLED display with 1.5K resolution. It would also be a large cell phone. It would also be a large screen that could exceed the 6.67 inches of the standard version of the Vivo X200.
Additionally, the X200s is said to feature a 50-megapixel primary camera and a periscopic telephoto lens. It could also feature a large silicon battery that aligns with the latest smartphone trends. Additionally, it could feature advanced dust and water resistance, which could mean it will retain the IP69 rating of the standard X200. The standard X200 comes with an optical in-display fingerprint sensor. On the other hand, the X200s could be equipped with an ultrasonic fingerprint sensor.
The alleged X200s will reportedly feature a Dimensity-type fingerprint sensor. This could be the Dimensity 9400 Plus, an overclocked version of the Dimensity 9400 Plus Dimensity 9400. We saw this strategy with the last generation of the X100 series, where the X100s models were equipped with the Dimensity 9300 Plus chip.
The tipster did not reveal the full release schedule, only mentioning that the smartphone will be released next year. Since the X100s models were released in May, we can expect a similar launch schedule for the X200s model.
