Apple has made progress since AirPods 3
The Apple AirPods 4 are the latest generation of wireless headphones. They exist in two versions: with and without active noise reduction. Here, it is the version without, which is therefore sold less expensive and remains a very good choice if you have an iPhone and are looking for headphones that go with it.
Compared to the AirPods 3, Apple has made progress on a few points. Already, the shape of the stems has been improved to fit better in the ear and offer a better fit. The case is also smaller and now includes a USB-C port. Bye bye the Lightning connector.
The Apple H2 chip makes a sensational entrance
The main addition to these headphones is the H2 chip which was previously only found in the AirPods Pro 2. This allows you to benefit from spatial audio, that is to say there is tracking dynamic sound if you move your head. Do you receive a call? Nod “yes” to answer, “no” to refuse the call. The Adaptive EQ function automatically adjusts the frequency according to the shape of your ear.
Concerning autonomy, Apple has not really made progress and you benefit from 5 hours of autonomy with a charge cycle, 30 hours thanks to the case. Note that the Lightning port disappears in favor of a USB-C port.
